I can't quite believe what difference this bright and breezy, sunny weather has had on my mood, I feel totally lifted! (Pathetic fallacy or what huh?) I've been waking up earlier feeling energised, refreshed
and ready to face a new day. I just can't get enough Vitamin D!

I've been lusting after a skirt like this one for ages after spying other bloggers wearing one similar from Zara and seeing the dropped waist dresses and skirts all over the catwalks I know its set to be a huge spring/summer trend. I was reluctant to buy the Zara skirt as I couldn't find it in any stores to view in the flesh and so I held my nerve hoping I'd find one elsewhere. I saw this gem hidden in the rails of H&M and immediately took it as there was nothing to ponder about and the low price made it a complete steal!

I'd say this look sort of has a very preppy feel to it, in fact the skirt reminds me a lot of the one I used to wear in school, and I feel very Alexa Chung inspired sporting the short skirt (although I haven't got her long, lean legs to match!). I styled the skirt with a jumper and jacket as its still a little chilly outside and so layering pieces on the top along with the tights kept me warm. I think the fitted top and peplum flare at the bottom of the skirt has a very slimming effect on the legs and I'm hoping to build up my collection of them, hopefully finding one with a more structured peplum.

I hope that wherever you are you've been enjoying some warm, spring weather! Also may we give a round of applause to my Mother for being able to figure out how to use my camera and taking some pretty decent shots, she was pretty chuffed with the way they turned out herself!
